Care, Believe & Support

We CARE about all of those in our school community. We prioritise a duty of care towards our students. We strive to provide them with a safe & secure learning environment, while understanding their individual needs.

We BELIEVE in our students and have high expectations of them. We recognise their strengths and nurture them. We believe in promoting a Catholic ethos, while celebrating alongside many other denominations represented among our student body.We believe in diversity.

We SUPPORT each other. Students, parents, teachers, SNAs, & other staff members within our school community, mutually benefit from a culture of support in CBS. Supporting our students’ holistic development is a priority.

CBS Primary Wexford is proud to be part of the Edmund Rice School Trust Network. BlessedEdmund Ignatius Rice (1762–1844) devoted his life to teaching the poor. His charitable vision is still at the heart of our ethos. Originally for boys, our school has been co-educational since 2014 and caters for Junior Infants to Sixth Class, as well as a mainstream Autism Class and an Early Intervention Class–‘Little Acorns.’ Our school is located in the heart of Wexford Town. The majority of our students are drawn from the greater urban area. Currently there are over 300 pupils on roll, with a wonderful diversity of cultures and nationalities.
